Karl has been dj'ing since 1996, it all started as a hobby, it was only when Karl got offered a fill in slot on Kiss 105.3fm in 1998 that he started to take dj’ing seriously.
Karl went on to host 2 shows weekly on Kiss Fm for a year and a half before moving onto Nova 94.7fm.
He stayed with Nova for 6 years where it became the most popular dance music station in Dublin before it finally got shut down in June 2005.
Karl has held residencies at some of Dublins top clubs such as Club Mono, Switch, Pod, The Crypt, Mischief, Traffic, Sunday Loungin @ Viva and Metro @ Sub Lounge.
Mainly known for his progressive house sound in the early days, Karls style has now gotten quite tougher playing a blend of tech house & techno.
In 2001 he set up a specialist record shop in Temple Bar catering for all of Dublins top djs called FutureSounds which he ran for 2 and a half years.
It was the first shop in Ireland to host a top 5 dance chart on national radio 2FM called the Future Cut chart.
After shutting up shop in 2003, Karl then got into the production side of dance music and currently has numourous releases out on Monad Music which he now runs with co-label manager, Tony Pugh.
In August 2007 Karl teamed up with Tony to form the production duo Groove Boy, with their debut release The Beginning going in at No.19 on the progressive house charts.
Karl also hosts a weekly radio show called The Audio Files every Tuesday from 6-8pm on Play Fm Dublin www.playfmdublin.com
